Upcoming Courses

Your coursework in OC’s Graduate School of Theology can be classified as general Bible, Theology, Ministry, Church History, and Original Languages. Such courses are generally part of a study core, track requirement, or part of an elective pool. Core classes required for degree programs are offered on a regular annual or bi-annual rotation. Courses included in the elective pool are scheduled regularly, but with no guarantee that every course will have sufficient enrollment to be offered.

As you begin your studies in the Graduate School of Theology, we’ll make a degree plan for you detailing recommended courses based on your preferred pacing and personal interests. This can serve as a road map for your education so you always know what courses are coming up, what elective options you have, and when you will graduate.

See the Graduate Catalog for more course information and descriptions. You can see recent and upcoming course offerings below.

Summer 2017 Courses

Summer courses are typically offered in either online or week-long intensive formats. Online courses can be completed 100% from a distance and do not require a visit to the OC campus. Week-long intensive courses meet on the OC campus for the week listed, with additional work completed from home later in the summer. The daily schedule for these courses is typically Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, though exact meeting times will be communicated to you by the course instructors. Summer week-long intensive courses are front-loaded into the month of May so the intensive week can be completed before most public schools let out for summer break. The goal of this model is to make planning summer ministry events and family vacations as easy as possible. If you have any questions about the summer schedule, please contact Josh Bailey at josh.bailey@oc.edu or 405.425.5389.

Fall 2017 Courses

Most fall and spring courses meet one day per week on Tuesdays. Having class just one day per week allows students to maintain professional and family responsibilities. See the chart below for class meeting times and how each course fits with each of the three degrees offered. A small number of courses are offered in an online format, which can be completed from a distance without coming to the Oklahoma Christian University campus. Other courses, such as GMIN 5913-Field Education, meet less frequently than every week. Mutually convenient meeting times and locations for those courses are determined by the professor and student(s) as the semester begins.
