Credit for Prior Learning for National Board Certified Teachers

At Oklahoma Christian University we recognize the rigorous standards of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) and, therefore, are pleased to award advanced standing in the Master of Education degree to National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs).

Graduate students seeking a master’s degree in the area of education who have obtained the professional credential of National Board Certification can be awarded credit for the three following courses (nine credit hours) in their degree program after completing twelve credit hours (four courses) toward their degree:
