New CS Lab

The new CS Lab in the Prince Engineering Center provides students with increased hands on access to high performance game development machines, super computers, robotics and cyber ranges. It has space for four high powered workstations, work bench space, access to high speed Internet connections and a large video wall for presentations.

OC Awarded Designation as a Cyber Defense Center for Academic Excellence

OC’s Computer Science with Cybersecurity degree has been assessed by the NSA and Homeland Security agencies, and based on their assessment, they have designated OC as a Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity. This designation recognizes the high quality of our Cybersecurity program and will give OC access to grant funding for Cybersecurity scholarships and research.

Boeing is at the forefront of innovative technological advances that are changing the world. As an employee at the world’s largest aerospace company, OC Aluma Brooke Dobbins (‘20) plays a significant role in developing software investigation techniques that open up new opportunities in space!

 

Even though she may not have foreseen a job in aerospace in her future during her time at Oklahoma Christian, Brooke credits OC with setting her up for success in her research and development role at Boeing. As a Computer Science graduate, Brooke’s hands-on experience with new technology, along with courses in databases, internet technologies, and advanced algorithms prepared her to help Boeing improve Space Command and Control capabilities. Through her work, she gets a front row-seat to the expansion of space exploration technology.
