Degree PlanWhy Earn a Master’s in Business Administration?
Higher Earning Potential
MBA graduates often see a substantial boost in earnings. According to the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the median starting salary for MBA graduates in the U.S. was $120,000 in 2023, which is 73% higher than the median salary for those with only a bachelor's degree (GMAC).*
Strong Hiring Demand
According to the 2024 GMAC Corporate Recruiters Survey, U.S. employers showed increasing year-over-year demand for MBA talent. In fact, roughly 25% of surveyed U.S. employers indicated plans to hire more MBA graduates in 2024 than they did in 2023 (GMAC).
Job Market Growth
An MBA can open doors to rapidly growing professions. For instance, employment of management analysts, a common role for MBA graduates, is projected to grow 11% from 2023 to 2033, much faster than the average for all occupations (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics).
*These statistics highlight the potential benefits of earning an MBA; however, actual outcomes can vary based on factors such as industry, geographic location, prior experience and individual performance.
