“OC has helped me grow my faith a lot ... coming in I found faith to be a struggling aspect of my life, but as I go through each semester I feel like I'm exponentially learning more about faith and what it means to trust God. OC has greatly impacted my view on faith. There's been moments where I struggle .... And it's in those moments that I find community. I find community in OC and my friends, in my professors, in my church home - it's just continuous support that brings me back and lifts me up every time.” - Lucas Martinez
“As I have been in college, I have grown in my relationship with God because of being able to make my own choice to go to church. I actually had an internship last year to work with the Edmond Church of Christ, where I got to serve and put my faith into practice through serving the youth group, helping and mentoring others through relational activities.” - Madison Stephens
When Orndorff isn't winning awards for teaching or writing books on social media and the presidency, you'll find him on the Eagle Trail prepping for his next marathon. Or, you might find him co-hosting The Politics Guys - a nonprofit podcast dedicated to bipartisan discourse. Busy much? Definitely! But he still finds ample time to teach and mentor OC's incredibly bright history and political science students.

Because, pro tip: come back for Lighting of the Commons and you'll see him moonlight as Santa!

When you visit campus there's a 97% chance you'll run into Kent Hartman. And we can guarantee you'll love every second. After serving as a missionary in Australia for 17.5 years he now acts as OC's Missionary in Residence. Kent and his wife Nancy (OC's 1976 Homecoming Queen!) help run Global Reunion, a camp dedicated to Third Culture Kids (TCKs) from around the world. He's our go-to for heart, compassion, or a good story. Really - ask him about falling out of a tree…or basketball…or riding a horse into Baugh Auditorium. We consider him an unofficial member of the Admissions Team and you should, too!
