You
Are
Here

... or at least you should be

Consider this your roadmap - your guide to the full OC experience.

Let's call it a "choose your own adventure" of the people, places and programs that shape your future. So what makes OC different? For starters, let's get the obvious out of the way: we want you here! Really, we do. And not just to brag about your future accomplishments (which will be awesome, btw) or grad school acceptance (you can do it!). We want you here because we believe in you - your story, your history, who you are and who you will become. And we believe our faith-filled, top-tier education will guide you there.

The world awaits your story…and you're just getting started.

Grow
Your
Faith

“I love OC because it's provided me with some lifelong friendships, and people who I will treasure until I see Jesus. People I'm excited to see Jesus with. I am so thankful for the friendships and the relationships and the mentorships that I've been allowed here at OC, and I think that's what makes it special.” - Kiva Maxwell

“OC has helped me grow my faith a lot ... coming in I found faith to be a struggling aspect of my life, but as I go through each semester I feel like I'm exponentially learning more about faith and what it means to trust God. OC has greatly impacted my view on faith. There's been moments where I struggle .... And it's in those moments that I find community. I find community in OC and my friends, in my professors, in my church home - it's just continuous support that brings me back and lifts me up every time.” - Lucas Martinez

“As I have been in college, I have grown in my relationship with God because of being able to make my own choice to go to church. I actually had an internship last year to work with the Edmond Church of Christ, where I got to serve and put my faith into practice through serving the youth group, helping and mentoring others through relational activities.” - Madison Stephens

Dr. Trey Orndorff

Political Science

Dr. Trey Orndorff

When Orndorff isn't winning awards for teaching or writing books on social media and the presidency, you'll find him on the Eagle Trail prepping for his next marathon. Or, you might find him co-hosting The Politics Guys - a nonprofit podcast dedicated to bipartisan discourse. Busy much? Definitely! But he still finds ample time to teach and mentor OC's incredibly bright history and political science students.

John DeSteiguer

Chancellor

John DeSteiguer

Chief Storyteller. Peanut M&M Aficionado. Friend. These are just a few names for our favorite Chancellor. Between half-court shots and riding scooters, our fearless leader finds time to know our students by name. His door is always open and he's got fist bumps to spare.

Dr. Jim Baird

Distinguished Professor of Bible & Philosophy

Dr. Jim Baird

The laugh heard around the world. Or, at least, around campus. Baird is an Oxford-trained theologian, Distinguished Professor of Bible and Philosophy, and has a flair for dramatized Dr. Suess readings. Is there anything he can't do? Answer: not that we know of! Because, pro tip: come back for Lighting of the Commons and you'll see him moonlight as Santa!

Lisa Gonzalez

Director of Student Financial Services

Lisa Gonzalez

Known for her quick smile and servant heart, Lisa's passion is contagious. Her approach to Financial Services and Admissions is both faith-centered and community-minded. Whether advocating for a prospective student or grabbing coffee with visitors in the Brew, Lisa's dedication to making OC affordable and a best-fit for students is unmatched. Basically, she's exactly who you need when you talk about college affordability. (Yeah - we're big fans.)

Kent Hartman

Missionary in Residence & Unofficial Tour Guide

Kent Hartman

When you visit campus there's a 97% chance you'll run into Kent Hartman. And we can guarantee you'll love every second. After serving as a missionary in Australia for 17.5 years he now acts as OC's Missionary in Residence. Kent and his wife Nancy (OC's 1976 Homecoming Queen!) help run Global Reunion, a camp dedicated to Third Culture Kids (TCKs) from around the world. He's our go-to for heart, compassion, or a good story. Really - ask him about falling out of a tree…or basketball…or riding a horse into Baugh Auditorium. We consider him an unofficial member of the Admissions Team and you should, too!
