OC Night with the Thunder
On March 28 the Oklahoma Christian University community and Wishing Well will partner with the Oklahoma City Thunder to host the OC/Thunder night at the Ford Center. The game will begin at 6:00 pm. The special ticket price will only be available online before March 12 and will not be available at the door.
"This is a great opportunity to spend an exciting evening with the Thunder as well as the OC Community," said Dr. Nathan Mellor, VP of Community Engagement. "In addition to being able to enjoy the game together, we'll also be able to raise money and awareness of the good work being done through Wishing Well."
OC's Coach Dan Hays, will lead the prayer before the game and Christian Recording Artist, Acappella, will sing the National Anthem. All students, faculty/staff and OC friends and family are invited to this evening of basketball, fun and fellowship. There will be an area wide worship service immediately following the game and communion will be available for those who could not partake in the morning.
Faculty Facts
Dr. Caren Feuerhelm, Professor of Education, was once mistaken for the writer of The Cat in the Hat. She says, "As I was observing a student interacting with young children, one of the five-year-old girls asked me if I was Dr. Seuss." She may not be Dr. Seuss, but Feuerhelm has been published. She wrote "Lifeworld of a Primary Teacher" for the January 2007 issue of the NAECTE Journal.
