OC presents Alumni Achievement Awards
Oklahoma Christian University’s five academic colleges and Honors Program recognized outstanding alumni during OC’s annual Homecoming festivities.
The College of Biblical Studies named Allen Dutton as its distinguished alumnus in missions, Grady King as its distinguished alumnus in ministry, and Chris Langley as its distinguished alumnus in youth and family ministry.
The College of Business Administration honored Mike Bosley as outstanding alumnus from OC’s Graduate School of Business, Lyle Kelsey from the Department of Management and Marketing, and Kevin Lawrence from the Department of Accounting and Finance.
OC’s College of Engineering and Computer Science recognized Walter Daugherity from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, Jim Utley from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Preston Watterson from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
OC’s College of Liberal Arts honored eight graduates: Gena Alexander (Music), Emily Elliott (Language and Literature), Mark Hamlin (Psychology), Dana Johnson (Sport, Wellness, and Recreation Management), Ted McAllister (History), Robyn Miller (Teacher Education), Justin Shaw (Art and Design), and Anna Wilcox (Communication).
The College of Natural and Health Sciences honored Marc Compton from the Department of Chemistry and Physics, Darise Farris from the Department of Biological Sciences, and Christy Hallock from the School of Nursing.
The Honors Program recognized Adam Hoffhines, who graduated in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in biochemistry. He recently completed a one-year hematopathology fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and now serves as a pathologist with the Regional Medical Laboratory in Tulsa.
