Servanthood

servanthood

You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you. (John 13:13-15 ESV)

Jesus gave us an example of servanthood in John 13 when he washed the feet of his disciples. Servanthood is a condition of the heart that empowers us to practice putting others first. This branch of ETHOS gives students the opportunity to apply their God-given gifts to serve their community and the world in the name of Jesus.

Some examples of service projects include:

  • Service projects sponsored by local campus ministries
  • Service projects sponsored by Outreach
  • Capitol Hill
  • Day in the City
  • Fall Break Mission Trips
  • Spring Break Mission Trips
  • Cross and Crown

* The purpose of all Ethos service projects is to serve the community in the name of Jesus. We approve projects on a case by case basis.
