Tornado Update

Monday's severe weather did not hit Oklahoma Christian, but please be weather aware and stay safe. Graduate classes have been canceled for tonight.

We will continue to assess how the campus community can help those who have been impacted by the storm. Please keep those families in your prayers.

Spiritual Life

One of OC’s most important traditions is meeting for Chapel every weekday. The main Chapel service and other gatherings like Women’s Chapel, Missions Chapel, Great Songs Chapel (and more!) provide a chance to focus on God.

Monday night’s “View 63” and the “Thursday Night Devo” also bring students together to praise and worship.

More than 1,100 undergraduate students (60 percent) are involved in ongoing service and ministry opportunities. Five hundred students, faculty and staff members do mission work each year in more than 30 countries on six continents. Countries served include Australia, Austria, China, Croatia, Germany, Ghana, Honduras, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Rwanda, Switzerland and the United States.

OC students also reach out closer to home, partnering with Oklahoma City's Stanley Hupfeld Academy at Western Village in a mentoring relationship with the elementary school. Western Village students have seen their test scores rise dramatically, almost doubling in some areas. At the start of each school year, OC hosts "Kite Day," where Western Village students make a field trip to Oklahoma Christian for a fun day of flying kites and eating lunch with OC students.
