Web Developer/Designer

Oklahoma Christian University invites applications for the full-time position of Web Developer/Designer. This position will report to Stephen Bell, Director of Web Marketing.  Applications will be accepted until the position is removed from the university’s job posting, which may occur any time on or after the “Opening Date for Hire.”
 
Responsibilities
  • Planning, designing and coding dynamic university websites (for departments, programs, promotions and events) from start to finish, for external audiences
  • Assisting OC faculty, staff and students in editing university websites
  • Working alongside other Marketing office design staff to achieve consistent branding across platforms (print, web, video, etc.)
  • Ongoing individual research to stay current in technologies and trends
 
Qualifications
  • Skilled at both graphic design and web development
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, graphic design, or related discipline
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a team environment
  • Proficient on Mac platform
  • Attention to detail
 
Code Languages
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript (and related libraries such as jQuery)
 
Software
  • Dreamweaver (or similar text editors), Photoshop
 
Bonus: Additional Desirable Skills
  • Familiar with Content Management Systems (CMS), blogging software, mobile development (websites, iPhone, Android), server-side web languages (Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.)  or interacting with 3rd party APIs (Google, Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Skilled in the areas of photography, copywriting, online advertising, search engine optimization or social media
