IT Network Support Analyst

Job Description:

This position is that of a Network Support Analyst providing technical support for the campus technology infrastructure.  This will include the support and management of: data network hardware, cable infrastructure, wireless infrastructure, remote site connectivity, voice systems, network client devices, access control systems and security systems.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the campus and respond to queries via an incident response system.

  • Provide documentation, training and support on new and existing systems.

  • Assist with the management, configuration and support of a campus wide wireless network infrastructure.

  • Provide management configuration and support of the campus VoIP system. (Shoretel Voice Manager)

  • Monitor network and related systems to ensure availability and performance.

  • Assist in maintaining the software and hardware systems throughout the network.

  • Provide management, configuration and support for the campus access control and camera systems.  

  • Assist with the installation, configuration and support of various LAN and WAN systems.

  • Provide after hours on call support for systems on rotation with other team members.

Skills / Attributes Required:

  • Previous Helpdesk / Support experience.

  • Knowledge of Apple and Microsoft client operating systems.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems.

  • Knowledge of network systems protocols, IP addressing and TCP/IP network topologies.

  • Knowledge and experience with wireless network infrastructures. (802.11)

  • Knowledge of network management practices and procedures.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize requests for assistance and project tasks.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree with previous work experience in information technology is required.  Applicants must also be active members of the churches of Christ.
