Student Counseling Services (SCS)

Welcome to the Oklahoma Christian University Student Counseling Services Home Page. We hope the following information is helpful to you. If you have any suggestions or comments that you think would improve our Web site, please feel free to contact the SCS Director, Randy Cochran, Psy.D. at randy.cochran@oc.edu, Christina Adkins, LPC. at christina.adkins@oc.edu, or Dan Archer, LPC., LMFT. at dan.archer@oc.edu.

SCS services are available to currently enrolled OC students during the fall and spring semester. Summer hours are very limited and when available, scheduled directly with the counselor. Depending on availability, a limited number of SCS services are available to spouses of enrolled OC students as well as faculty and staff members.

As part of the OC Health & Wellness Center, Student Counseling Services staff work in conjunction with the staff of Student Health Services. At times SCS counselors will consult with health professionals in the Health and Wellness Center. SCS counseling and psychological services are confidential and not shared with others outside of the Health & Wellness Center without your written permission. SCS professional and administrative staff follow polices and legal and ethical practices to protect the privacy of your health information. These policies and practices are explained in detail in the SCS Confidentiality Statement and HIPPA Notice.

SCS does not provide personal counseling through e-mail or other electronic means. Individuals who are not OC students and who are seeking personal counseling are encouraged to consult with local mental health professionals as well as other community services.
