
Due to limited funding for some programs, it is best to complete this process early.
Complete the OC Application for Admission. This application ensures you have applied for scholarships. If you want to change your scholarship choices, contact the Financial Services office.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on the Web at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Be sure to include OC's Title IV code (003165) in the school section. A renewal application must be completed each year.
Return additional documentation if necessary. You will receive tracking letters from our office if additional documentation is necessary. (For example, the government may require that we request a copy of your tax forms.) If you need copies of your tax forms, you may call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 and request a tax transcript by the automated system. Select option 2 to request information from your personal tax account and enter your social security number. Next, select option 1 to request a copy of your tax transcript. It will ask for the numbers in your street address and the year of the tax return you are requesting. It is free of charge.
Receive an award letter from OC after we have received all required documents. It will list all scholarships and federal aid (grants, loans and work-study) for which you qualify along with instructions for completing the loan applications.
Complete and return the Payment Plan Form that you will be mailed with your award letter. This form must be completed and returned to our office.
