OKLAHOMA CITY (Jan. 13, 2014) – Point guard Kendre Talley has joined an exclusive list of Oklahoma Christian men’s basketball players who have scored 1,000 or more career points.
Talley, a 5-foot-9 senior from Spencer, became the 37th member of that elite group when the Eagles beat Dallas Christian (Texas) on Dec. 3. Talley since has increased his career scoring total to 1,106 points entering OC’s home game Thursday against Oklahoma Panhandle State.
He currently ranks 32nd on the career scoring list and could move up to 30th by scoring 13 points on Thursday.
Talley currently ranks second in the Heartland Conference in scoring at 18.9 points per game and leads the league in assists (6.4 per game) and steals (2.2 per game). He’s twice been named as the conference player of the week this season.
