OKLAHOMA CITY (Aug. 4, 2014) – Former Oklahoma Christian women’s soccer standout Addie Ryan is back with the Lady Eagles’ program.

Ryan, who completed her playing eligibility with the 2013 season, will serve as a student assistant coach during the upcoming campaign, OC head coach Randall Robison said Monday.

“I am very excited to have Addie join us on the coaching staff this fall,” Robison said. “She has been a huge part of this program as a player. I am eager to see how her enthusiasm and work ethic comes through as a coach. Addie will be a great example for our players.”

Ryan, from Edmond, played for the Lady Eagles in 2009, 2012 and 2013. As a senior, she earned All-Heartland Conference third-team honors and was a second-team selection to the All-National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region team.

Ryan mostly played in a defensive position for OC, but she excelled at pushing up from defense into the attack. She led the Lady Eagles in shots (52) and shots on goal (23) as a senior, serving as OC’s primary free-kick specialist.

She finished second on the team in scoring last season with eight points (two goals and a team-high four assists). Ryan tied for 10th in the conference in assists as OC finished 4-12-2.
