OC’s department of art and design will host professional photographer Jodi Alempijevic Nov. 5. Based in Chicago, Jodi was raised in a small town in Wisconsin, where much of her inspiration comes from. A professional for the last four years, Jodi took up photography by learning from an accomplished professional. She then studied at the Chicago Photography Center, working with some of the city’s best photographers. Jodi now volunteers at the Center as an instructor.
According to Jodi, one of her great joys in life is having the ability to make someone else feel beautiful through a photo she has taken. She uses a Canon 5D Mark I, and her favorite lens is the Canon F2.8 100MM Macro.
Jodi will give an artist talk in the OC Art Gallery on Nov. 5 from 3:30-4:15 p.m. There will be a reception with free food from 4:30-5:30 p.m. The gallery is located in the Garvey Center on OC’s campus. On Nov. 6, the gallery will be open from 9-11:30 a.m. Jodi’s work will continue to run Nov. 8-Dec. 3, when the gallery is open 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
