OKLAHOMA CITY (April 3, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian will serve as the host of the National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region baseball tournament, OC coach Lonny Cobble said Wednesday.

OC is in its first academic year as a member of the NCCAA. The baseball tournament at Dobson Field, scheduled to run May 7-10, will be the first NCCAA postseason event to be hosted by the university.

The NCCAA Central Region includes 14 member schools in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado. Not all those schools will send teams to the region tournament and which teams will make the trip likely won’t be known until just before the event.

The region champion will advance to the NCCAA Championship, set for May 15-18 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio, just outside of Cincinnati.
