BAROOGA, Victoria, Australia (July 29, 2013) – As she gears up for the upcoming fall season, Oklahoma Christian golfer Catherine Odgers has won another event in her native Australia.

Odgers teamed with Casey Wild on Monday to capture the Victorian Women’s Country Foursomes Championship at Cobram Barooga Golf Club, Odgers’ second title of the summer.

The OC senior-to-be and her partner posted an 82 in the morning round on the club’s Old Course, then recorded four birdies while shooting a 1-over-par 73 in the afternoon round on the club’s West Course. Their 155 total was good for a five-shot win and the Marion Dwyer Cup, awarded to the tournament champions.

Last month, Odgers won the Victorian Women’s Par 3 Championship for the fourth time. She will begin play Tuesday in the Victorian Women’s Country Championship, which also will be played at Cobram Barooga.

During her junior season at OC, Odgers posted an 80.26 stroke average and three top-10 finishes, including a second-place showing at the Diffee Ford-Lincoln Invitational at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond. She earned All-America status by finishing eighth in the National Christian College Athletic Association Invitational at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla.
