OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 18, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian’s home opener for softball will be two weeks earlier than originally planned.
Due to field conditions in Alva, Northwestern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Christian have agreed to move Tuesday’s softball games from Alva to Edmond.
The two teams will play a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Edmond North High School. OC's on-campus home field is unavailable because of ongoing construction of Tom Heath Field at Lawson Plaza.
Northwestern will now host the March 12 doubleheader between the two teams, games that had originally been scheduled to be played in Oklahoma City.
OC’s original home opener was to be a March 5 doubleheader against the University of Dallas (Texas). Those games still will be played.
