OKLAHOMA CITY (June 30, 2014) – Oklahoma Christian’s men’s golf team will see action in four states during their five-tournament fall season, OC coach David Lynn said Monday.
The Eagles will open their 2014 fall campaign Sept. 15-16 in Amarillo, Texas, playing in the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invitational, hosted by West Texas A&M at Tascosa Country Club. OC finished third last year in that event, which draws many top teams from NCAA Division II’s South Central Region.
The following week, on Sept. 22-23, OC will play in the first National Christian College Athletic Association Central Region Championship, which will be hosted by Oklahoma Wesleyan at Page Belcher Golf Course in Tulsa. The tournament will serve as a qualifier for the NCCAA Championship.
On Oct. 6-7, the Eagles will head north on Interstate 35 to play in the Newman Invitational at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wichita, Kan. The following week, on Oct. 13-14, OC will make another trip north to play in the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by NCAA Division I Missouri-Kansas City at Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kan.
The Eagles will conclude their fall season on Oct. 27-29 at the NCCAA Championship at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla. OC won the 2012 NCCAA title before finishing fourth last year.
