OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 5, 2012) -- Oklahoma Christian University is pleased to announce the launch of our redesigned athletic website, www.oceagles.com.
This is the second major redesign of the website since it first debuted as www.oceagles.com in fall 2005; the two previous designs won national awards.
Here are a few highlights of the new website:
New, responsive design
The new site offers a refreshed look that matches recent OC athletic marketing and focuses on rich media like photos and video. The responsive design approach allows this one website to conform to any size, meaning the site looks great on everything from a large monitor to a small smartphone screen.
The new navigation focuses on individual Eagle sports, enhancing the design for parents and other supporters who follow one sport in particular. Another improvement is the breadcrumb navigation that shows you where you are in the site, making it a lot easier to get around.
New social media sharing buttons on every news story make it easier to spread your Eagle pride. There are also news categories, which make it easy to get to the stories that matter most to you.
It’s now easier to browse team schedules and rosters from yesteryear. Instead of navigating through “archive” sections, you can now simply select a different season directly on the roster and schedule pages.
With the new biographies, it’s easier to get to know our athletes, coaches, and staff members.
Team schedules streamlined into OC calendar
Team schedules are now integrated into the main OC calendar. This makes it easier than ever for the OC community to be aware of upcoming games and events.
New tools for site editors
The new system is a big improvement for web editors and developers. It is integrated with the main OC site and uses a content management system that allows editors to update and maintain all site content on the web from any computer.
