OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 7, 2012) – Oklahoma Christian golfer Trey Payne has been named to the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete list for 2012.

The award winners were announced at the banquet preceding the NCCAA Championship last month in Panama City Beach, Fla. Payne, from Ardmore, was one of 13 players nationally to receive the honor.

To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale and be a junior or senior academically. Payne, a sophomore in eligibility on the Eagles’ squad, is a junior academically and has a 3.40 GPA in accounting.
