OKLAHOMA CITY (June 9, 2013) – A pair of Oklahoma Christian baseball signees have been honored on The Oklahoman’s All-City and All-State teams, which were announced this weekend.
Joseph Peregrin, a left-handed pitcher out of Deer Creek High School in Edmond, received honorable mention on the newspaper’s Big All-City team, which recognizes players from Class 5A and 6A schools. Peregrin went 7-0 with a 2.81 ERA and 55 strikeouts in 42 1/3 innings for Deer Creek this spring and threw a no-hitter against Oklahoma Christian School on March 2.
Jack Hale, a centerfielder for Edmond Memorial High School, received honorable mention on both the Big All-City and All-State lists. He hit .411 this spring, with an on-base percentage of .519 and a slugging percentage of .542. He had nine doubles, 24 RBIs, 24 runs scored and seven stolen bases in 34 games.
Hale also earned honorable mention on The Oklahoman’s All-State and Big All-City teams in 2012.
