YUKON, Okla. (Sept. 29, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian assistant women’s soccer coach Neil Hilton now has a new title – head coach of Yukon High School’s boys team.

The Yukon Public Schools board approved Hilton’s hiring this summer. He will continue in his role with OC in addition to coaching at the Class 6A high school. During his playing career at OC, Hilton spent three seasons as an assistant boys and girls coach at Yukon.

“It feels like the right job for me in my coaching career and I am really excited to get started and try to continue to bring more success to Yukon,” Hilton said.

Hilton, a 25-year-old native of Liverpool, England, was a four-year starter for OC’s men’s team from 2008 to 2011, twice earning All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors. He is a co-holder of the single-season school record for assists, having recorded 11 in 2011.

He served as a graduate assistant coach for the Eagles in 2012 before joining the staff of OC women’s coach Randall Robison this year.

“We feel being able to hire Neil gives us an unbelievable, highly qualified soccer coach,” Yukon athletic director David Fisher told the Yukon Review. “It is hard to find soccer coaches that are really soccer people. He has played on all levels and coached on the collegiate level. … Neil is an unbelievable hire for us and adds another strong head coach to our situation.”
