MUSTANG, Okla. (Feb. 10, 2014) – Sydni Wiles, who helped Mustang reach the Class 6A semifinals last spring, has signed a letter of intent to play college soccer at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Randall Robison said Monday.
Wiles, a forward for both her high school and club team (Canadian Valley FC ’96 Red), helped Mustang finish 11-5 last season and knock off traditional powers Norman and Norman North in the 6A playoffs.
“Syd will bring pace and a competitive spirit to our program,” Robison said. “She has an attacking personality on the field and should compete for playing time immediately. She has been recognized as one of the best players on her club and high school teams. We are very excited to have her as a part of OC soccer.”
She is the second player to sign with OC during the current NCAA signing period, joining Mackenzie Marquardt of Norman.
