Edmond mayor to address OC graduates

Oklahoma City - Edmond Mayor and Oklahoma Christian University (OC) alumna, Patrice Douglas, will deliver the commencement address at the summer graduation ceremony for the university. Graduation will take place Saturday, August 22 at 2 p.m. in the Hardeman Auditorium.

Mayor Douglas is a 1983 OC alumna. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in information systems. In 2001, the Oklahoma Christian School of Business named her Alumni of the Year.

In addition to her position as mayor, Douglas leads the Edmond commercial team for First Fidelity Bank. She is active in a number of charitable organizations including UR Special ministries.  She is a three time finalist for the Journal Record’s Woman of the Year award.

Commencement will include 23 bachelor degree candidates from OC’s three colleges - arts and sciences, biblical studies, and professional studies. Also included in the graduation exercises will be 66 degree candidates from OC’s Fast Track MBA program along with two from the Master of Ministry program and one from the Master of Divinity program.
