OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 7, 2012) – Oklahoma Christian women’s golfers Morgan Dockery and Catherine Odgers have been named to the NCCAA Scholar-Athlete list for their sport.

The award winners were announced at the banquet preceding the NCCAA Invitational last month in Panama City Beach, Fla. Dockery, a senior from Andrews, Texas, and Odgers, a junior from Victoria, Australia, were among six players honored nationally.

To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale and be a junior or senior academically.

Dockery has a 3.78 GPA and Odgers has a 3.42 GPA. Both are majoring in sports wellness/recreation.

They are the first two academic award winners in the two-year history of OC women’s golf. The Lady Eagles were ineligible for NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors last season.
