Carrillo named as NCCAA Scholar-Athlete for women’s tennis

MOBILE, Ala. (May 19, 2013) – Gabriela Carrillo represented Oklahoma Christian on National Christian College Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete list for women’s tennis, the NCCAA has announced.

The honor was announced during the recently completed NCCAA Championship in Mobile, Ala. Oklahoma Christian did not participate in the tournament.

To qualify for the honor, a student-athlete must be at least a junior academically and have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Carrillo, from Riobamba, Ecuador, is a sophomore athletically and a junior academically. She carries a 3.76 GPA in sports/wellness/recreation management.
