OKLAHOMA CITY (Oct. 3, 2012) – For the second straight week, Oklahoma Christian’s Anna Arrese Cortadellas was named Wednesday as the Heartland Conference’s women’s golfer of the week.

The sophomore from Barcelona won her second tournament in as many weeks, finishing at 1-over-par 143 in the RCB Bank Classic, played Monday and Tuesday at Lincoln Park Golf Club’s East Course. Her final-round 70 matched the best score this season by a Heartland Conference player.

Last week, Arrese Cortadellas won the conference award and later was named as the NCCAA women’s golf student-athlete of the week after taking medalist honors in the Grand Canyon Fall Invitational in Litchfield Park, Ariz.

During her two-year career at OC, Arrese Cortadellas has been named as a conference player of the week four times (having won the Sooner Athletic Conference award twice as a freshman) and as a national player of the week three times (after winning the NAIA award twice last year).
