TROUTVILLE, Va. (May 14, 2013) – Four Oklahoma Christian softball players have earned Scholar-Athlete honors from the National Christian College Athletic Association.

Seniors Michelle Miller and Lindsy Moore and juniors Sarah Peoples and Lauren Pittman all made the national Scholar-Athlete list.  The awards were announced shortly after the end of the NCCAA Championship last week in Virginia.

To qualify for the honor, a player must be a junior or senior academically and have a grade-point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Moore, a pitcher from Washington, Okla., has a 3.62 GPA in interdisciplinary studies, while Miller, an outfielder from Waco, Texas, has a 3.53 GPA in sports/wellness/recreation management.

Peoples, an outfielder from Piedmont, has a 3.47 GPA in mass communications-public relations/advertising and Pittman, a first baseman from Washington, Okla., has a 3.46 GPA in elementary education.
