20 OC admins, faculty, staff preach in Oklahoma City metro
Twenty members of the Oklahoma Christian University family preached in the Oklahoma City metropolitan area on Sunday morning.
President John deSteiguer delivered the sermon at Memorial Road Church of Christ in Edmond, where he serves as a deacon.
The other OC administrators who filled pulpits were: Dr. Bill Goad, executive vice president; Kent Allen, vice president for advancement; and Stephen Eck, vice president and general counsel. President Emeritus Mike O’Neal spoke at the Church of Christ at Oakdale.
The nine OC faculty members to preach on Sunday were: Dr. Alan Martin, dean of the College of Biblical Studies; Dr. Jim Baird, professor of Bible and philosophy; Dr. Bob Carpenter, professor of ministry and missions; Dr. Jim Dvorak, instructor of biblical Greek and New Testament; Dr. John Harrison, professor of New Testament and ministry; Kent Hartman, missionary-in-residence; Dr. Lawrence Murray, assistant professor of psychology; Dr. Stafford North, distinguished professor of Bible; and Dr. Richard Wright, chair of the Graduate School of Theology.
The OC staff members to preach included: Dr. Mickey Banister, registrar; Curtis Janz, athletic director; Ben Langford; director of the Center for Global Missions; Clint LaRue; director of financial services; Michael Mitchell, director of admissions and recruiting; and Mark Vaughn, admissions counselor.
President deSteiguer also spoke at the evening service for Northside Church of Christ in Wichita, Kansas, prior to a reception sponsored by the South Central Kansas Chapter of the OC Alumni Association.
