- CNN Dictionaries
- A Web search for definitions, translations and slang. Links to two
translation dictionaries: The Alta Vista Translation Page and Foreign
Language for Travelers.
- Freetranslation.com
- A free translation service for those who wish to translate emails,
chat messages, Web pages, and other text. It provides translation from
English to French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Portuguese, as well
as from French, Spanish, and German to English.
- Foreign Language for Travelers
- A site for travelers wanting to learn common words and phrases of
a language. Languages include: German, French, Italian, Russian, Czech,
Turkish, Finnish, Danish, Esperanto, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch,
Polish, Romanian, Swedish, Norwegian and Icelandic. Sound files for
each language are also available. Links are provided to other sites
that feature translation dictionaries.
- iLoveLanguages
- A comprehensive catalog of language-related Internet resources that
includes online language lessons, translating dictionaries, native literature,
translation services, software, language schools, and more.
- Internet Dictionary Project
- Established to create a free body of translating dictionaries.
- List of Multi-Language Sites
- Multi-language sites interesting to visit and useful for teaching.
- Logo Dictionary: A Multilingual Dictionary
- An in-process dictionary providing access to definitions in several
languages.
- Logos Homepage
- The site contains dictionaries for many languages, a search feature
for translation, language software link, monetary conversion for many
countries, and links to actual people for professional translation.
- National Foreign Language Resource Center
- The mission of the NFLRC at GU/CAL is to advance the field of Foreign
Language Education with ongoing research and training projects that
focus on the following areas: language learning strategies, technology-assisted
language instruction, less-commonly-taught languages database, assessment
of foreign language proficiency, and survey of foreign language tests.
- Virtual Call Library
- A central point of access to the diverse collection of Computer Aided
Language Learning (CALL) software scattered across the Internet and
available for downloading.
- Worldwide Classroom
- A compilation of intercultural and educational programs around the
world that welcome international visitors.
- YourDictionary.com
- Provides dictionaries in over 130 languages (from Abenaki to Zulu)
as well as translation services in Spanish, French, Portuguese, German,
and Italian.
FRENCH:

- A Web site that offers a variety of attractions for virtually all who are interested in France, as well as opportunities for those who would like to learn French, improve their French, or use the French language.
- Interesting French Servers
- A partial list of French servers that may be of interest.
GERMAN:
- Electronic Text Center: German Language Resources
- A collection of online German-language texts at the University of Virginia, as well as links to other sources for electronic texts in German.
JAPANESE:
- CCSF Language Center Japanese
- Provides many links to all sorts of Japanese resources.
