Good News in July
by: Stafford North | July 17, 2012
The July issue of Good News begins with an inspiring story about a Christian couple in Colorado that lost their home in the terrible Waldo Canyon fire and about relief groups from churches of Christ going there to help. It also tells about a children’s home in New Mexico and about a women’s singing group that uses their voices to serve God. The next story tells of a survey showing whether the belief in evolution is growing or not. And the final item is about Bob Rowley, a good friend to so many here at OC.
We hope you will do three things. First, read the stories for your own benefit and inspiration. Second, send us either the list of emails from your church members to put on our mailing list or send an email to your church email list to encourage them to read Good News and provide the following link—www.oc.edu/goodnews. Third, send us story ideas you think will be good news to share. An increasing number are sending us story ideas and we really appreciate that. In fact, three of our five stories this month came from readers. Send your ideas to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Be sure to remember our 2012 Lectureship which will be on October 7-9. For the full program, go to www.oc.edu/lectureship. We have a great program planned.
