eBibleStudy Passes 100,000 downloads

About ten years ago, the Bible faculty at Oklahoma Christian University decided to provide a service to churches by preparing a series of teaching materials on various Bible topics.  They would make these sets available free online for anyone who wanted to use them.  Each set of lessons contains thirteen very complete lesson plans on a Bible book or topic to guide the teacher in teaching his/her class for a quarter.  These guides for the class include objectives for each class meeting, materials the teacher should have available, a complete set of directions for teaching the content of the class, and a set of practical applications to make from the lesson.  Some of the sets even include worksheets and quizzes to use as well as PowerPoint if the teacher wants to use it.

The twenty-eight sets of eBibleStudy materials cover a wide range of topics. Twelve are on books of the Bible:  Leviticus, two on Isaiah, Daniel, Acts—26 lessons, 1 Corinthians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, 1 and 2 Timothy, 1 Peter, and Revelation.  Two others are a survey of the Old Testament and of the New Testament.  Another is on the Parables of Jesus.GN-09.15-3A-eBibleStudy

Three other lessons are especially for youth:  Choices that Determine Destiny, Sharing Your Faith for Teens, and Christian Evidences.  One is on family life called Christian Home Builder.

The remaining lessons cover doctrinal and practical topics:  Christ and His Church Evangelizing Your Community, Follow in His Steps, God’s Eternal Plan, Leadership  Training, Sharing Your Faith—Adult, Understanding Scripture, and Worship.  The authors of the material were all members of the Bible faculty when they wrote the material although some have since moved on to other places.

Using the materials is quite simple.  Go to click on the picture of the material you want to see, and if you want to use it just print it out.  You are free to make copies but not to edit the material and are to present it as from Oklahoma Christian University.

If you are looking for some materials that can enable a teacher, even a fairly inexperienced one, to teach a good Bible class, check out these materials.  It is good news that they are available and are being widely used.
