Acappella is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The internationally-known Christian recording artists recently remade one of their most popular songs, "Water From The Well," featuring guest singer Kim Lancaster Brantley two decades after she sang on the original as a child.
The song's video features footage from Wishing Well, an organization committed to providing clean water to impoverished people around the world. Alumnus Ryan Groves helped start and run Wishing Well as a student-run organization at Oklahoma Christian. For more info on the important work Wishing Well continues to do, go to http://www.wishforwater.com.
All five current members of Acappella featured on this song - Zac George, Malcolm Himes, Anthony Lancaster, Wes McKinzie and Raymond Mobley - are OC alumni or students.
Acappella and some of the group's former members, including founder Keith Lancaster and OC alum Rodney Britt, will deliver a free 30th anniversary concert at the OC Lectureship on Sunday, October 7. Find out more about Acappella on the group's Facebook and Twitter pages.
