Job Description: We are looking for a person who is seeking to partner with families to lead kids to a lifelong relationship with God through the latest technology, curriculum and experiences. We desire our Children’s Minister to be innovative, energetic, organized and a spiritually mature follower of Jesus who will lead our children and families in a strong relationship with God and each other. Preferred Qualifications: • Must pass a background check. • Must be willing to seek volunteers and prioritize safety with children through background checks and other forms of safety. • Must support the beliefs, vision and leadership of Jenks Church. • Able to delegate and willingness to ask for help when appropriate. • Have a working knowledge of the Bible and Biblical principles. • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, “coachable”, service oriented, and flexible. • Seeks to get the whole family involved in the ministry. • Seeks to be a part of the surrounding community and willing to work with other churches to further the Kingdom of God. • Must have good communication skills – Verbal and Written. Able to be a visible and heard participant during Sunday morning worship. • Experience preferred but not required. • Education reflects working with children/Child development. • Able to plan, organize and execute child/family centered activities and service projects on a regular basis. • Must be willing to attend one Children’s Ministry conference per year. • Tech savvy – willingness to use current technology and implement new when necessary. • Has vision for future growth. • Attention to detail and organization. • Ability to work well with other staff members, church members, children and families. • Willing to plan/be the lead role in summer programs, age appropriate camps, summer VBS and other children’s programs throughout the year. • Willing to work with our preschool and families. • Demonstrates Godly principles in personal and home life. • Able to face and resolve conflict effectively. • Willing to work with the Youth Ministry to create seamless transitions between children’s and youth Ministries. • Preferably trained (if not trained, willing to be trained) in Child/infant CPR and First aid.
