Name: Steve Cordle
Ministry Profile: After a hiatus from preaching I am eager to return to full time ministry. I have fifteen years full time preaching experience and currently work as house parents for Tipton Home in Tipton, Oklahoma. I also fill in for the preacher in his absence as well as teach a Sunday morning adult Bible class. I am a 1994 graduate of the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado. We have no children but are planning to resume our adoption process once we are settled in a new work. We are very interested in relocating to a church in Texas, Alabama, Tennessee or Florida, but will consider other areas as well. Also will consider associate positions. I became a Christian in 1985 after studying with a Christian roommate in college. I was encouraged to preach by members after regular participation in a Sunday night preaching rotation. In addition to public preaching I enjoy personal evangelism and teaching in small groups. In addition to church work I am involved in various community organizations which helps me grow in my ministry and personal life. I also plan to pursue a Masters in Bible from the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado in a program that is designed for ministers working full time and living long distance from Denver, thus it will not interfere with my local work with a congregation. During my last year and a half of full time ministry (2008-2009), I conducted eleven studies that resulted in 7 baptisms. During seven years in Canada I baptized 32 people. I have authored two books and several articles for brotherhood publications and two training manuals (non-published). A resume packet with references and sample sermons is available upon request.
