Current Undergraduate Students:
Current students, returning in the fall, can upgrade to a MacBook and be given the option of an iPhone or iPod touch. If you choose to upgrade, you will trade-in the Dell laptop you are currently assigned and pay a modest upgrade fee. This fee is determined by your expected graduation date and the laptop that you are currently assigned. This is a one-time upgrade charge and will allow you to keep the laptop system and iPhone/iPod upon graduation just as if you had continued to use the laptop you have now. (Please note: no student will receive the iPhone or iPod touch until August.)
If you choose to upgrade, you can receive the laptop prior to leaving for the summer break if you pay the upgrade fee with cash, check or credit card. You can charge the upgrade fee to your student account if your account is in good standing. However, you cannot charge the fee to your account and upgrade until you return to campus for the Fall semester in August.
If you choose not to upgrade, IT Services will continue to provide full support for the system you have now.
Upgrade sign-up Monday, March 10 – Thursday, March 27 (EXTENDED). All students that would like to upgrade must sign-up during these dates: Beginning Monday, March 10, students can come to the IT Services office to sign-up for the upgrade. Students that would like to upgrade before the summer break must pay a minimum of 50% of the upgrade charge at the time of sign-up and the balance of the charges in April when the MacBook is issued. Students that plan to charge the fee to their account and upgrade in August must also come to IT Services and sign up for the upgrade. This will allow us to make arrangements to ensure we have a MacBook for you when you return. Sign-ups for the upgrade will only be accepted through Thursday, March 27. After this date, we will assume that you have chosen to keep the current Dell laptop system.
