iPhone/iPod touch Information:
Qualifying** students should visit the iChoice website to verify your choice of the iPhone or the iPod touch. Please read the information below to help you in your decision.

iPhone
AT&T representatives will be on campus beginning August 23 to issue and activate the phones for qualified students. To help with the activation process we recommend you review the information on this site to better understand your options.
New to AT&T?
Opening a new AT&T account made easy:
- A credit check will be required. Come to the distribution with your photo ID and Social Security Number.
- A deposit may be required upon credit review.
- An activation fee of $36.00 will be billed to your new AT&T account.
- A two year contract is required.
Port (transfer) your existing phone number
It is possible to transfer an existing phone number to your new iPhone. You will need to provide account information as it appears on record with your current service provider. Information required includes:
- Account number
- Name of the account holder
- Account holder’s SSN or Tax ID
- Billing address
- PIN or Password (if applicable)
Already with AT&T?
Qualifying and upgrade eligibility:
- Students should check their AT&T Mobility account to see that they are upgrade eligible. If you are not upgrade eligible additional fees may apply.
- You may be charged an $18.00 upgrade fee which will be billed to your account.
- If adding the iPhone to a family plan you must be listed as an Authorized User of the account with permissions to make changes.
Not Eligible For Upgrade
Students who are determined by AT&T as not upgrade eligible will be required to pay a $200.00 early upgrade charge. This charge will be placed on the student OC account unless paid on the day of distribution. Students that are not upgrade eligible may also elect, at the time of distribution, to order an 8GB iPhone for the early upgrade charge of $100.00 instead of the $200.00.
Choosing your plan and receiving your student plan discount:
- AT&T offers a wide variety of plans and features to meet your needs. Estimated costs of popular plans are available after logging into the iChoice website.
- To receive the maximum discount available, when part of a family plan, the student phone should be the primary phone on the account.

iPod Touch
Those that already have a contract with another wireless provider or do not want to activate phone and pay the monthly charges can choose the iPod touch. This device will be able to access the campus wireless network and be able to access many of the academic and service applications developed for campus use in the near future.
iPod Touch Distribution
The iPod Touches will be distributed at the following times in the Student Center. All you need to pick-up your Touch is a your Student ID. You do not need to sign-up for a time slot, you may just show up.

iPhone/iPod Care
The Applesac company creates sleeves for iPhone and iPod touches as well, for only $9.99 with free shipping. You can order these from Applesac.com.
The iPhone and iPod are covered by Apple Care for 1 year from the purchase date. If you experience any problems with either device please visit the the Office of Information Technology Services for service.
