From Peru to Bulgaria, OC students and faculty left their mark on the globe this summer through mission and service projects. More than 50 students, faculty, staff members and alumni served on various mission projects in 15 countries spread over five continents.
Oklahoma Christian is located 4,500 miles from the beautiful South American country of Brazil. But that distance hasn’t stopped dozens of alumni and faculty from serving as missionaries there.
Only four months young and Thrive’s a hit. Our generous OC family has fully funded five projects. As of September 2014, 933 people have committed 6.6 million dollars toward Thrive … and we’re just getting started!
OC students have a new way to build their “life resume” this fall. Ethos, OC’s new spiritual life program, provides multiple ways for students to grow in faith, serve others and worship God.
Dr. Bailey McBride retired in May after 48 years on the OC faculty. While it would take a book to capture all of his OC memories, Bailey kindly provided a first-person account of just a few of the highlights and relationships from his tenure.
Mo and Richard Anderson, the couple who will join us as “honorary alumni” at Homecoming, can teach us about a million things about giving back. Mo and Richard are generous benefactors and champions of our school.
Higher education is rapidly changing, and so are the needs and desires of our OC family. And as our Eagles ask for regular, transparent information on what OC is doing and why, the stage has been set for a whole new breed of campaign.
Mark and Beth Brewer aren’t OC graduates, but since Mark joined the Board of Trustees in 2003, they have devoted considerable time, talent and treasure to the future of this campus.

In just seven years since graduating from OC, Andrew Silvestri has earned a master’s degree from Harvard University, worked for Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin and been hired by tech giant Google. That’s quite a career for someone who is not yet 30 years old.

A farmer’s wife led Harold Shank to Christ, and a homebuilder helped him pursue a Christian education. Throughout their lives of ministry, Harold and his wife Sally have paid it forward.
