Registration/Payment Information

Because space is limited to only 16 rooms, our deposit and refund policy is necessarily strict. We allow three days from time of reservation to make sure the airfare you desire is available. (Most airlines permit cancellation within 24 hours of booking a flight, even if it is a non-refundable fare.) Check your airline policies and schedules before you book!

A $500 deposit for two people ($250 for each additional person) is required at the time of your reservation and booking. You can make your final payment at any time prior to the deadline of February 1, 2017.

The schedule of payments and refunds is as follows:

Deposit refund: The deposit is refunded if booking is cancelled within 72 hours. After 72 hours of booking the deposit is forfeited.

Balance due: February 1, 2017. Balance of all fees is due on or before February 1, 2017. If payments are not received by that date, your reservation will be cancelled. If final payment(s) have been made, and the booking is cancelled before February 1, 2017, the final payment(s) will be refunded. Cancellations after February 1, 2017 are non-refundable.

Estimating your costs NOT included in the Package: The present exchange rate is approximately $1.00 = €0.89 (€ is the symbol for Euro) and €1.00=$1.12. The price of a Viennese deli or bakery sandwich, or a combo meal in fast food restaurant (Big Mac Meal or similar) in Vienna is about $7 (€6). A basic sit-down lunch meal (Mittagsmenü) without drink (the European practice) starts at about $9 (€8). A good sit-down dinner without drink begins at about $20 (€17). Of course, currency rates fluctuate daily, and by May the exchange rate may be different. Current rates can be checked here. The in-room and common kitchen facilities at the Haus allow for preparing your own meals and packing lunch, if desired. 

Round-trip airport transfers in Vienna cost approximately $25 per person, plus short taxi or U-Bahn rides to and from the station.

After making your reservation, we will send you a detailed itinerary and additional information periodically to help you plan for the trip.

WAITING LIST:

We are anticipating numerous responses from OC's alumni for this exciting experience. Remember, Das Millicanhaus has only 16 rooms available for this event! As such, we are happy to keep a waiting list if the VIENNA ALUMNI ADVENTURE sells out.  

UNDERSOLD HAUS:

If an insufficient number of rooms are sold to cover OC's costs, the trip, as described in this document, will not occur. HOWEVER, we would still offer to those registered the two following options:
-  Full refund of all payments
-  Keep your room at the Haus for the same days at a greatly reduced rate (no pre-paid excursions or meals) and you plan your own schedule. This option would allow for non-refundable airline tickets already purchased.
