The university also officially rededicated its biblical studies building
as the Williams-Branch Center for Biblical Studies during a special ceremony
earlier in the day.
In September, alumni Dr. Charlie and Lesa Branch pledged
$1.5 million toward university endowment and the redevelopment and support
of the building, named in honor of their parents, Charles and Joyce Williams
and Dr. Charles and Sylvia Branch. Renovation and refurbishment of the
Williams-Branch Center has been ongoing over the past several months in
preparation for the annual OC lectureship, which begins Sunday.
