Scholarship Endowment
A scholarship account is designated an endowment to ensure the permanent funding of the scholarship without depleting the principal. Endowed scholarships are basically investment accounts. Your gift is invested in a broadly diversified portfolio. Each year, 5% of the fair market value of the account is spent on student scholarships. Investment gain above this amount is reinvested so that even more scholarships can be awarded to future generations of students.

Current Scholarships
Current scholarships come from dollars contributed to the general scholarship fund. The general scholarship fund works like a cash account, giving Financial Services ready access to scholarship dollars which can be immediately applied to a student’s bill. Current scholarships provide Oklahoma Christian with the means to bring students to OC that might not have the means otherwise. Link to Scholarship and Discount Information for a listing of the various current scholarships awarded by Financial Services.
Although we accept any size gift to our general scholarship fund, our primary vehicle for raising general scholarship funds is Oklahoma Christian Associates. All OC Associates are invited to the annual Associates banquet. This gala event is a special night of entertainment and high-class fun for all of the OC Associates from around the country. For the last two years, the dinner has been held at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
