The Mike & Kathy McDonald Endowed Scholarship

Friends and admirers of Mike and Kathy (Tippens) McDonald have established, and are funding, an endowed scholarship in honor of the McDonalds.  Mike and Kathy are Oklahoma Christian alumni, both having graduated in 1971.  Mike served OC in several ways, including as the University’s Vice President for Alumni.  In 1992 Mike had an occurrence of cancer in his arm that was successfully removed.  In December 2002, Mike was diagnosed with cancer again.  Through the follow-up treatments and surgery, Mike and Kathy displayed remarkable faith and strength, and their examples inspired us all.  Mike passed from this earthly life in December 2003.  He has left a legacy that will remain with us always.
