What to Bring

Students will need a laptop or tablet computer for schoolwork, as well as sheets for a twin extra-long bed, a blanket, a pillow, towels, and toiletries. Clothing should be appropriate to wear in a school setting along with comfortable shoes. A detailed packing list will be sent in the spring.

Course Materials

Course syllabi and select materials will be made available in the spring to accepted students. Books can be purchased through the OC Bookstore.


If your student is allergic to any type of food or medication, please make sure to note it on his or her Health and Media Form (sent to all accepted students). Our staff works closely with food service providers to accommodate of our participants’ dietary needs during the week.

Residence Life

Your student will stay in a dorm facility that is locked at night with an enforced curfew. There will be Academy mentors (counselors) living in the dorm and checking rooms every night in the facility to make sure all students are accounted for and safe. We also have a residence director living in the dorm if your student cannot find a mentor.

Closed Campus

To enhance the students’ experience, we do not allow students to leave campus during the residency except for Academy-organized outings. Students cannot be checked out for visits, sports events, etc. When registering, please plan on the student staying for the full one-week residency. Students who check out early will not be allowed to return to the Academy during that residency.

Any visitors must be approved by the Academy Director prior to arrival at an event in order to provide a safe and cohesive program for your student.


Theology Summer Academy begins Sunday, July 15. (No early accommodations are available for Saturday.) Check-in begins on Sunday at 2:00 pm in University House and must be completed by 4:45 pm. If the student will be flying, please schedule flight arrivals before 3:00 pm on Sunday; a free shuttle service is offered to students flying to Oklahoma City. It is very important that all students are checked in before 5:00 pm as student activities begin promptly at that time.


The residency will end Friday, July 20. Parents are invited to the closing session in the Biblical Studies building at 6:00 pm. Checkout will immediately follow. If the student will be flying, please schedule departure flights between 8:30 pm Friday evening and 12:00 pm on Saturday. A free shuttle service is available to students with flights departing by noon on Saturday.


The deadline to request a full refund is March 15. One half is refundable up to June 15, and no refunds are given after that date.
