Ben Tinius
From Ft. Worth, Texas, Ben attended Oklahoma Christian and serves in the newly created University Representative role. Look for Ben at events and churches across the US!
Favorite OC professor—
Dr. Fletcher was one of the first faculty members at Oklahoma Christian, and served in a number of different capacities over the years. He is an accomplished scholar in more than one discipline, but his true love is music. In my final semester of undergrad, I had the pleasure of taking Music History with Dr. Fletcher. His love for the subject material was infectious. As he guided us through the compositions he would share how particular pieces related to experiences in his life. That class reminded me that my college education was not a means to an end, but the basis for a lifetime pursuit of knowledge.
Favorite OC memory—
My wife, Dara, and I met at OC and were both performers in a student recruiting band called Summer Singers. She sang, and I played drums. We had so many great times with that group, and it was only fitting that the morning before our final Summer Singers show, I asked her to marry me. We are now planning to teach our daughters to play keys and guitar so we can complete the family band!
