Crislyn Ward
From Edmond, Oklahoma, Crislyn attended Oklahoma Christian and serves the city of Edmond, Oklahoma and north central Oklahoma.
Favorite OC professor—Dr. Bailey McBride
Dr. McBride is an English professor and was the inaugural Director of OC’s Honors. He taught one of my freshman Honors courses (Western Thought & Expression). I loved him so much as a professor that I took him again for Senior Philosophy. He is an outstanding professor—challenging students to think more intuitively and strive to be more intellectual—and a wonderful Christian mentor. His genuine care for his students and gentle demeanor make him one of the most influential people I have been blessed to know!
Favorite OC memory—
I had the honor of co-directing my social club’s Spring Sing show my senior year, which was SO much fun! Although we didn’t win, we took 2nd place and I had a blast with the show and working with all the girls in Gamma Rho. In the middle of that semester while I was directing that show, I also started dating my future husband, Sam. We eventually got married, even though his club is the one who got 1st place and beat my Spring Sing show!
