Application & Admission Process
The following is a step-by-step guide for completing OC’s International Student admission process for Intensive English Study. Please complete each step below, with the corresponding paperwork, as soon as possible for priority consideration.
1. Application
Complete the application for admission at www.oc.edu/apply. If you intend to continue to undergraduate studies, please use the undergraduate application. If you intend to continue to graduate studies, please use the appropriate graduate program application. A $25.00 non-refundable application is required at the end of the online application.
2. Academic Documentation
Original or officially certified copies of all grade reports for all secondary and higher education studies, as well as original or officially certified copies of all academic diplomas, certificates, and national or other major examination results must be submitted via post to the address below, along with official English translation certified by the educational institution.
3. Financial Documentation
An applicant must provide proof of adequate funds for the program they intend to study at after completing their language studies. The costs vary from program to program. Applicants must submit a completed Financial Worksheet accompanied by an original bank verification letter or statement via post to the address below. The U.S. government requires this certification before Oklahoma Christian University can issue the appropriate U.S. government forms necessary for obtaining a visa at a U.S. embassy or consulate.
4. Statement of Understanding
An applicant must submit Oklahoma Christian University's Statement of Understanding outlining rules and expectations of the University.
5. Immigration Documents
An applicant must submit copies of passport and visa pages, I-94 card (front and back), and all previous I-20's via post or email.
Once the above documents have been received and approved, a Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant (F-1) Student Status Form I-20 can be issued for those students requiring a student visa.
6. Transfer Students
A Transfer Release Form is required for students transferring from another U.S. college, university or language school. It must be signed by the applicant and completed by the current institution which holds the student's current I-20 record. Please note that students must hold legal status in the United States to be eligible for admission.
7. Admission To OC
Upon admission, first time students and transfer students will receive health and immunization forms, a housing request form, an I-20, and F-1 visa instructions from the Office of International Programs at Oklahoma Christian University.
