If you are an OC student and wish to be considered for The Fund for American Studies Scholar program, please see the application instructions below:

You will need to submit the following information:

 - Application form (availble on the website closer to the application date

 - Resume

 - One (1) page statement of purpose explaining why you wish to participate in the program and what you hope to acheive

 - Two (2) research papers you have completed while pursuing your undergraduate studies

 - Letter of reference from an academic instructor

Application packets will be reviewed by a committee comprising OC professors and staff members.  A group of students will be selected from the application pool for interviews.  The committee will then select three students for the program.  Students selected as TFAS Scholars will not be automatically enrolled in one of the Institutes.  Upon selection for the TFAS Scholars progam, students must independently apply for one of the institutes.
