Marguerite Nyagahura plans to open First Impressions Daycare center by May 2008. The space at Christ Church- Rwanda has been rented, renovated and furnished. First Impressions will provide quality care services to children ages 18-36 months of age and after school care for nursery children between 3-6 years of age. The fully qualified team shall provide a happy, homey and friendly environment for children to develop and learn new skills because she recognizes that children learn through play. Appropriate learning opportunities are planned within the child-centered environment in order to fulfill each child's potential.
Currently Marguerite owns and operates a hair salon in partnership with another woman. Previously she and her husband owned and operated a furniture manufacturing business from 1983-1994. During this period, Marguerite served as Personel Director then to Sales and Marketing positions. From 1994-2006 Marguerite lived in Sweeden where she completed her education and then returned to Rwanda in 2006. Joining the salon business in January 2007, she serves as the Director of Administration where she handles the day-to-day running of the business which includes personnel, customer care, purchases and public relations.
In Stockholm, Sweeden, Marguerite received a Bachelor of Social Sciences degree with a major in Early Childhood Care and Edcuation. She has recently returned to Rwanda and is passionate about using her knowledge and experiences abroad to make a lasting difference in the lives of children in her home country.
